How my interest began
I was reading the classics and ran across Timaeus and Critias by Plato. He starts referencing Atlantis incert more and more.
The "legend" Of Atlantis
As Plato said, Atlantis was 6,000 years before his time, which would make it about 10000-14000 years old now. It is also said that Atlantis was destroyed by the flood of Noa. This coincides with the timeline of the geological evidence found around the world and the legends of cultures and tribes worldwide that told of the great dalush.
This is an accurate image of Atlantis. Nearly all of the images of the ancient city come from the 2 books written by Plato; Timaeus and Critias.
orichalcum
Orichalcum is the legendary metal of Atlantis. It is mentioned in several places throughout Greek literature, first in the Iliad and the Odyssey, then in Timeus and Critias. Plato describes Atlantis to be rich with this metal. The Temple of Poseidon at the center of the concentric rings of Atlantis was clad with this gold-red metal and at the center of the temple was a rod of Orichalcum.
Orichalcum, like Pompei and Herculaneum, were thought to be mythical cities made up by Philosophers to prove points, similar to how Atlantis is portrayed. However, 2 shipwrecks were discovered with hundreds of Orichalcum bars on board.
Possible places that Atlantis may lie...
Megolithic structures
I believe that megalithic structures are a remnant left behind from the empire of Atlantis.
This is the Empire of Atlantis according to Ignatius Donnalley published in 1889
This is a map of extremely large holy temples and megalithic temples that have many of the same characteristics. You can see that the maps have many similarities in locations. I believe that the technology was not alien, but was advanced and was sourced from Atlantis. As Plato proclaimed, Atlantis was 6,000 years before him, which would make it about 10000 - 14000 years old now. There are probably hundreds of megalithic temples that are not discovered yet; we know exactly where to look. The former Empire of Atlantis.

Definition of a megolithic structure: The word megalithic describes structures made of such large stones without the use of mortar or concrete, representing periods of prehistory characterized by such constructions.
